Alright…fess up- who immediately began belting out Percy Sledge’s “When a Man Loves Woman”? Anyone??? Just me??? Regardless- that song would totally be appropriate here. I want you all to meet Stephanie and Justus.
Stephanie and Justus are two of the most incredible people I have ever met. Stephanie co-leads a small group with me and is one of the most gifted artists I have known with the most passionate, fun personality a girl could have. Justus on the other hand is someone who everyone who meets him describes in one word- JOY. The two of them are always smiling and laughing and are super contagious to be around!
I have had the privilege of being a friend of them both for the last year, and was super flattered when they asked me to photograph their upcoming wedding in July. We decided that last weekend would be the perfect time for us to shoot their engagement session and so we met up at a park in Dallas (I am now obsessed with this location as well!) to explore some horse trails and off beaten paths. As usual Scott and I arrived about 30 minutes early to scope out the location and lay out the order of the shoot. As soon as we got there I was immediately drawn to this beautiful tree off in the distance. When I suggested using it as a location to Stephanie & Justus they grinned and said that was the EXACT spot he proposed. How sweet is that? It was meant to be.
We also explored a second off beaten path where we thought we could get to some cut off railroad tracks, but the gap was a bit (a lot) too wide to get to without some super human skills (i.e. the power of flight? or sling shot abilities?) so we decided to shoot some photos with the tracks in the background.
Stephanie and Justus- we love you guys and are SO psyched to be there when you say I Do!
