Who doesn’t love a family in a beautiful field at sunrise? This is one of the most fun shots I’ve ever done. This family is not only incredibly beautiful (mom and dad had a great gene pool to pass along to their sweet kids!), but there was never a dull moment! With 3 children under the age of 3, this was a high energy, ultra creative shoot. By the time I left I was covered in mud and icing- more on this later.![]()
When I first met Michala at her pre shoot consult, I knew we would get along famously. Her beauty isn’t just outside- it radiates all from within. She has such a sweet spirit and a gentle heart. We had a great time touring her lovely home, looking at old photos and choosing wardrobe for the shoot. She told me she wanted a good combo of posed and candid shots, but we needed a location. After leaving her home I happened to spot a tiny clearing in a field of trees, and decided to park in a neighborhood and hike back that way…it was breathtaking. I will definitely be shooting in this location again! It took me in flashbacks to my dear Anne of Green Gable-esqe imagination where I immediately began renaming the field…”and this I shall call the enchanted way.” Close enough anyways.

Michala and Jared thank you all so much for letting us photograph your family! We hope to see you all back in Highland Village soon!
AND if you thought this was all…..make sure you come back tomorrow and check out the awesome Smash the Cake session we did for their sweet one year old…hence how I left the shoot covered in mud and icing. THE cutest thing…you’ll see!!
